Today, we're going to learn about the international trade partners of the EMPIRE OF AKSUM. The Aksumite Ethiopian Empire was incredibly wealthy and gained its wealth from its trade within Africa as well as from the Mediterranean, India and China.

 

The royal titles of AKSUM's kings on many and various inscriptions give us a great idea of how extensive AKSUM'S control of Africa's international trade routes were and the very high amount of exports to the rest of the world.
